Glen Grant 30 Year Old is Chapter Twenty Two of the Whiskyland series from independent bottler Decadent Drinks. It marries two Speyside malts: whisky from a 1993 refill barrel and whisky from a 1995 first-fill sherry hogshead.
It was bottled at 46.8% ABV without dilution, in an edition of 177 bottles.
The nose is polished oak, aged wine, Madeira cake and candied citrus peel. On the palate come dried figs, prune syrup, nutmeg and cocoa, and the long finish brings leather, treacle tart and a hint of aged Madeira.
