A 74 year old single malt from Glen Grant in Speyside, distilled in 1948 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Private Collection to mark the coronation of King Charles III. 1948 is the King's birth year. The whisky matured in a single first fill sherry cask and was bottled on 15 December 2022 at a cask strength of 50.4%, yielding 281 bottles. That date falls 74 years to the day after the King's christening. The nose shows festive spices, mulled berries, raisin, lemon zest, demerara sugar and beeswax polish. Red apple, bitter orange, milk chocolate, light smoke and fresh peppermint lead the palate, and the full finish carries grapefruit and mature oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
