A 10 year old official Glen Moray bottling from the 1970s, labelled Single Highland Malt, the wording used before 1990, when Speyside was formally distinguished from Highland. It is bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. At this time the distillery produced spirit almost entirely for blending, so its own single malt releases were few. The nose is light and fresh, with cereal grain, soft vanilla, baked apple, ripe pear and a gentle floral note. The palate has crisp orchard fruit, creamy malt, toffee and a hint of biscuit, and the finish is dry and soft with lingering spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
