This is a 15-year-old Speyside single malt from Glen Moray, distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2022 at a cask strength of 56.9%. It was released for Wilson & Morgan's 30th anniversary, in a 70cl bottle from an outturn of 394 bottles.
The whisky had a finish of almost two years in first-fill casks that previously held Tokaji, the Hungarian dessert wine. The bottling combines two of these casks, one sweeter and fruitier, the other more spicy and peppery.
The nose is mineral, with beeswax, apricots and orange juice. The palate is fruity, sweet, tart and spicy, with greengages and mustard. The finish is firm and mineral, with a touch of tannin.
