This is Whisky Sponge Edition No. 99, a 32 year old Speyside single malt from Glen Moray, released by Decadent Drinks. It vats a 1990 refill hogshead with a 1991 second-fill sherry hogshead. The mixture rested for several months in the sherry hogshead before being bottled at natural cask strength, 51.8% ABV. 304 bottles of 70cl were filled.
The nose is fruity, waxy and mature, with polished hardwood, soft spices, fruit cake, crystallised fruits and dessert wine notes. The palate brings dark fruits, quince, wax, cedar and herbal teas. The finish is long, resinous and warming, with citrus peel.
