This is a 12-year-old Speyside single malt from Glen Moray, bottled in a 1 litre size at 46% ABV. It is a small batch release, matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled non-chill filtered.
The nose is of blackberries and blackcurrants, with a note of freshly baked mince pie dusted with icing sugar. On the palate, sweetness and spice come together with chewy vanilla toffee, dark fruit and toasted oak.
The finish brings out the oak. Creamy vanilla ice cream melts away and leaves a long, spiced oak aftertaste.
