Glen Scotia 10 Year Old Peated is a Campbeltown single malt made from 100% peated malt and matured for ten years in first-fill bourbon barrels. It is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and at natural colour.
Glen Scotia Distillery, part of the Loch Lomond Group, was founded in 1832. Its coastal house style of salt spray and an oily texture meets peat smoke here.
The nose has smouldering peat smoke and a briny sea-spray note over baked apple and clove. The palate is rich and oily, with lemon zest, vanilla syrup and fresh-cut barley, leading to a long, drying finish of sweet peat smoke and black pepper.
