Glen Scotia 14 Year Old The Dragon is Release No. 2 in the Icons of Campbeltown series, whose artwork draws on the town's history. This one takes its theme from Saint Michael slaying a fire-breathing dragon, a scene carved into Campbeltown's market cross.
It is a medium-peated single malt matured in ex-bourbon casks, then finished for six months in ex-Barolo red wine casks. Bottled at cask strength, 56.8% ABV, it is non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
The nose has ocean spray, red berries and peat smoke. The palate brings melted brown sugar, raspberry, cranberry, apple and vanilla, and the finish is long, with red cherries and peat smoke.
