Glen Scotia 18 Year Old is an unpeated Campbeltown single malt bottled at 46%, non-chill filtered and of natural colour. Seventeen years of its maturation were spent in refill bourbon casks and refill American oak hogsheads, followed by a 12-month finish in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks.
Glen Scotia is one of three distilleries still working in Campbeltown, a town once known as the Whisky Capital of the World.
The nose is crisp and salty, with floral notes, honey and salted caramel. The palate brings toffee, apricot, pineapple and sultana with gentle warming spice, and the finish is long and dry.
