Glen Scotia 21 Year Old is a Campbeltown single malt, matured for 21 years in refill ex-bourbon barrels and refill American oak hogsheads. It then spent a further six months in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks.
It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle, non-chill-filtered and at natural colour. First released in January 2023, it is an annual edition of 2,500 bottles worldwide.
The tasting notes describe sweet, perfumed Oloroso and spiced red apple on the nose, baked red apples, raisins, cloves and vanilla on the palate, and a long finish with sea salt and sherry dryness.
