This is a heavily peated 9 year old Campbeltown single malt, released for the Campbeltown Malts Festival 2025. It matured first in first-fill bourbon casks, then spent five months finishing in red wine casks from Ribera del Duero in Spain. It is bottled at cask strength, in natural colour and without chill-filtration.
The nose has swirling peat smoke, maritime saltiness and creamy vanilla. On the palate come lively, juicy blackberries and red fruit with rich oils. The finish is softly smoky with a velvety feel.
