Glen Scotia – Campbeltown Malts Festival 2025 9 Year Old (70cl, 54.3%)

This is Glen Scotia's bottling for the 2025 Campbeltown Malts Festival, a heavily peated single malt aged nine years and bottled at a cask strength of 54.3% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The whisky was matured first in first-fill bourbon barrels, then finished for five months in Ribera del Duero red wine casks from Spain. Peated spirit is distilled at Glen Scotia for only a few weeks each year. Each festival bottling is a different recipe. On the nose there is peat smoke, coastal salinity and creamy vanilla. The palate brings juicy blackberries and red fruits with rich oils, and the finish is soft with smoke, a velvety texture and hints of liquorice.
