This is the Glen Scotia release for the 2025 Campbeltown Malts Festival, a 9 year old single malt from the Campbeltown distillery established in 1832. It is heavily peated and bottled at a cask strength of 54.3% ABV in a 75cl bottle, non-chill filtered and at natural colour.
The whisky matured fully in first-fill bourbon barrels, then spent five months in Ribera del Duero red wine casks from Spain.
Tasting notes describe ripe red fruit and juicy blackberry, with a thread of liquorice beneath the peat smoke.
