This is a Campbeltown single malt from Glen Scotia, bottled in 2022 at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It spends eight months in American oak before a finish in casks that held Demerara rum from Guyana, which adds sweet, tropical notes.
The bottling recalls Campbeltown's harbour trade in rum casks around 1815, before Glen Scotia was founded. The aromas range from boiled sugar and molasses to juicy island fruit.
