A 23 year old Glen Spey single malt from Speyside, distilled in 1990 and bottled by Douglas Laing at 51.1% ABV. The colour is straw. The nose is steely and mineral at first, with linseed and graphite oils, paraffin, ink, grass, soot, gravel, walnut skin, moss, fern, humus and mushrooms, plus a little fresh wood. Neat, the palate is clean and grassy, with plenty of lemon juice. With water come more moss, mushrooms, mint, grass and rocket. The finish is long, clean and very grassy.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
