This is batch 7 of the GlenAllachie 10 year old cask strength series, a sherry-led Speyside single malt bottled at 56.8%. It is a bright mahogany colour, and it was put together under Billy Walker.
The vatting combines Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry puncheons with Rioja barriques and a small amount of virgin oak casks. The result is a balance of dried fruit, spice, dark chocolate and the sweetness typical of GlenAllachie.
