GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 7 is a Speyside single malt bottled at 56.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Master Distiller Billy Walker selected and blended it, and it is bottled with natural colour and without chill filtration.
The whisky is matured in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons, together with Rioja barriques and virgin oak. It follows the batch that won World's Best Single Malt.
The notes describe heather honey, dried fruit, cinnamon and nutmeg on the nose, with orange peel, mocha and treacle. On the palate come dark chocolate, figs, raisins and plums, and the finish is long, warming and spiced.
