This is batch 8 of GlenAllachie's 10 year old cask strength Speyside single malt, bottled at 58% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The ten years of maturation took place in American oak, ex-PX and Oloroso sherry casks, virgin oak and former Rioja casks.
The nose offers fruity sweetness, forest berries and dried fruit, baking spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg, and a hint of dark chocolate and coffee. On the palate orange zest and chocolate mingle with cinnamon, forest honey and a touch of tropical fruit. The finish is long, with nutmeg and berry notes.
