GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Rye Wood Finish is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 48% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It was aged for ten years in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in Kentucky rye casks of varying toast and char. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
Master Distiller Billy Walker added it to the GlenAllachie Wood Finish range in 2021, and 2,400 bottles were released in the US.
The nose is freshly grated nutmeg, crème brûlée, Madagascan vanilla and demerara sugar. The palate has butterscotch-drizzled vanilla ice cream, citrus and cinnamon over golden honey and sweet malt. It closes warm and spicy, with lingering rye grain, vanilla and gentle oak.
