GlenAllachie – 10 Year Old Spanish Oak - Limited Edition Virgin Oak Series is a single malt whisky from GlenAllachie (Speyside). Aged 10 years, bottled at 48% ABV, 70cl. Built and founded in 1967, The GlenAllachie malt whisky distillery was overseen by Mackinlay McPherson. A few years later in 1985 it was bought and mothballed by Invergordon Distillers. 1989 saw it bought by Campbell Distillers who looked to breathe new life into it. Its most recent history sees the master Billy Walker at the helm with Graham Stevenson and Trisha Savage by his side. Famous for their single cask releases and their sherried expressions, this distillery is one of the most exciting ones of modern times. This 10 year old release was matured in American Oak ex bourbon barrels and finished in Spanish Virgin Oak casks for approximately 18 months. Bottled as part of the GlenAllachie Virgin Oak Series.
