GlenAllachie – 10 Year Old Spanish Virgin Oak Batch 3 (70cl)

GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Spanish Virgin Oak is a Speyside single malt from Batch 3 of the distillery's Virgin Oak Series, released as a limited edition in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was first matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, then given a final maturation in virgin Spanish oak casks made from Galician oak. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour. The nose brings orchard fruits, cinnamon and sticky toffee pudding. On the palate come glazed cherries, citrus zest, brown sugar and a hint of nutmeg, followed by chocolate, espresso, heather honey and ginger. The finish carries ripe banana, molasses, cracked pepper and sultanas.
