This 12 year old Glenallachie was bottled by Murray McDavid at 50% ABV. It matured for 11 years in a sherry butt and was then moved into two freshly emptied cognac casks of Limousin oak for its final year. 771 bottles were filled.
The nose is buttery, with orange and milk chocolate. The palate brings creamy malt, fruity toffee and oak spice, and the finish has gentle fruits and mellow vanilla.
