A 12 year old Speyside single malt from GlenAllachie, finished in casks that previously held port. The port comes from the Douro region, and the finish gives the whisky its own character.
It is bottled at 48% abv in a 70cl bottle, without added colour and not chill-filtered.
The nose is heather honey, toffee, spice, rosehip, dark chocolate and a touch of eucalyptus. On the palate a rush of heather honey, caramel sweets and syrup meets juicy plum, rosehip and gentle bitter chocolate. The finish is honey and molasses with dark chocolate.
