GlenAllachie 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in a mix of PX sherry, Oloroso sherry and virgin oak casks, a combination put together by Billy Walker, who is also known for Glendronach and Benriach.
The distillery was bought in 2017 by an independent group that brought Walker in, and the whole range was revamped in 2018.
The palate is rich and mouth-coating, with a milk chocolate character that runs from cakebread to ginger snaps. Chocolate is the clearest note on the finish.
