GlenAllachie 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt bottled at 46% ABV. It was matured in ex-PX and Oloroso sherry casks together with virgin oak casks, and it is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose opens with fruity sweetness, heather honey and butterscotch, with dark mocha arriving later. On the palate marzipan, banana and very ripe raisins stand out, with a light touch of caramel and dark chocolate. The finish fades slowly, with raisins, dark honey and coffee or cocoa beans.
