This is a 13 year old Glenallachie from a PX sherry hogshead, distilled on 1 June 2009 and bottled in June 2022 at 56.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is batch 4 of the Denmark releases, with 364 bottles filled.
The nose offers fig syrup, molasses and grilled honeycomb, with hints of grape must, maraschino cherries and cinnamon. On the palate come waves of treacle, mocha and plum, then crystallised ginger, caramel sauce and candied pecans. Dark chocolate and brown sugar linger on the finish.
