GlenAllachie 13 Year Old Madeira Wood Finish is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is Batch 3 of the distillery's Wood Finish Range, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky matured for more than eleven years in American oak barrels, then was finished in barriques that previously held Madeira wine made from Malvasia grapes. The range comes from Master Distiller Billy Walker.
The colour is orange gold. The nose offers vanilla, apricots, plantains, almonds, peaches and pineapple. The palate follows with vanilla, treacle, apricots and peaches alongside almonds, grapefruit and pineapple, rich and long.
