A single cask 14 year old GlenAllachie from Speyside, matured in Sauternes wine hogshead 805561. It was distilled on 21st May 2012 and bottled on 1st September 2026 at a natural cask strength of 59.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Just 260 bottles were produced for the UK market.
The Sauternes cask gives the spirit a sweeter French accent.
The nose offers apricot, honeycomb and green apple, with baking spice, warm golden syrup and fresh white grapes. On the palate, baked apple, cinnamon and heather honey lead into mocha, glazed cherry and poached pear. The finish is baked fruit, caramel, cinnamon and lingering mocha.
