GlenAllachie – 15 Year Old 2006 Spirit Of Speyside 2022 #3292 is a single malt whisky from GlenAllachie (Speyside). Aged 15 years, bottled at 59.4% ABV, 70cl.
Built and founded in 1967, The GlenAllachie malt whisky distillery was overseen by Mackinlay McPherson. A few years later in 1985 it was bought and mothballed by Invergordon Distillers. 1989 saw it bought by Campbell Distillers who looked to breathe new life into it. Its most recent history sees the master Billy Walker at the helm with Graham Stevenson and Trisha Savage by his side. Famous for their single cask releases and their sherried expressions, this distillery is one of the most exciting ones of modern times.
This is released to celebrate the Spirit of Speyside festival in Feb 2022. It is an Oloroso Sherry butt maturation and cask #3292 yielded only 704 bottles.
