This is a 15 year old single malt from GlenAllachie, a Speyside distillery. It is bottled at 46%, without chill-filtration or added colour.
The whisky matured first in first fill bourbon casks. It was then finished in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry puncheons.
The nose is intense, with raisins, butterscotch and sweet spices. Banana, orange zest and dark chocolate follow on the palate. The finish is long and fruity, with sweetness and chocolate.
