This is a single cask 17 year old from The Glenallachie Distillery, distilled in 2009 and matured in an oloroso sherry hogshead. It was bottled at a natural cask strength of 53% ABV, and the cask yielded 356 bottles.
The nose offers mocha, dried stone fruits and cinnamon, then honeycomb, blood orange and damson plums, with muscovado sugar and cocoa. The palate moves through truffle, worn leather and dried orchard fruits, followed by manuka honey, demerara sugar and raisin butter.
