This is a 21-year-old GlenAllachie single malt bottled at cask strength, the natural strength of the cask. It is not chill-filtered.
The nose is rich, with ripe plum and fig, cinnamon and nutmeg, honey and toasted oak, and a slight note of leather. On the palate it is powerful and warm, led by candied fruit, caramel and dark chocolate, with spice building and a smooth, enveloping texture.
The finish is long, with the fruit and spice returning alongside a pleasant warmth.
