This is a 9-year-old single malt from GlenAllachie, distilled in 2012 and bottled at 48%. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The spirit was first matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, then moved into European wine barriques for a second maturation. Four wine cask finishes are blended into one, with casks from Bordeaux, Languedoc and Valpolicella. Cuvée is the French wine term for a blend of more than one grape variety.
The golden whisky shows elegant stone fruits, hints of toasted almonds and zesty orange peel on the palate.
