GlenAllachie 9 Years Old is a Speyside single malt finished in Douro Valley wine casks, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the GlenAllachie Wine Series.
The spirit was first matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels. It then spent over two years in wine barriques sourced by Master Distiller Billy Walker.
The barriques added richness of colour and flavour, bringing layers of dried stone fruits and delicate hints of warming spice.
