This is a single cask of Meikle Tòir, the heavily peated GlenAllachie malt, peated to 47 PPM. It was distilled on 17th May 2019, matured in Oloroso hogshead 11601 and bottled on 1st September 2026 at 7 years old. The strength is a cask strength 63.9%, in a 70cl bottle.
Only 284 bottles were filled, for the UK market, and the whisky is non-chill-filtered. Meikle Tòir is Gaelic for 'the big pursuit' and is Billy Walker's peated project at GlenAllachie.
The nose has orange zest, chocolate, muscovado sugar and heather honey in aromatic peat smoke. On the palate come honeycomb, hazelnuts, spiced orange and salted caramel, with peat building underneath. The finish is salted caramel, orange oil and dark chocolate.
