This Glenburgie was bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in 1981 to mark the marriage of the Prince of Wales to Lady Diana Spencer on 29 July that year. It is a vatting of two casks, distilled at the Glenburgie distillery in Speyside in 1948 and 1961, the royal birth years. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The nose offers dried fruit, honey and a hint of oak. The palate is full-bodied and well balanced, with ripe fruit, toffee and a touch of spice, in a smooth, velvety texture. The finish is long, with fruit and spice lingering.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
