This is a 27-year-old Highland single malt from Glencadam, distilled in 1996 and bottled at 46% without chill-filtration. It has natural colour, and 1,691 numbered bottles were released in a 70cl size. The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks, then finished in oloroso sherry butts sourced from Jerez in Spain. It is an official distillery bottling. The nose offers praline, caramelised almonds and cocoa powder, with cooked fruits, Manuka honey and sweet cinnamon. On the palate come Swiss chocolate, butterscotch, sultanas, rolling tobacco and spiced apples. The finish brings dates and chocolate fudge cake, fading to espresso and roasted nuts.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
