Glencraig 1975 is a single malt from Gordon & MacPhail's Rare Old series, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It was distilled at Glenburgie in Speyside in 1975, using Lomond stills, and bottled in 2009 from an American refill hogshead. The release ran to approximately 170 bottles.
The nose is green apple and ripe pear, with hints of pineapple and apricot. On the palate come honeyed malt and vanilla custard, with spiced orange and roasted almond. The finish is medium to long, with a touch of caramel and a silky fade of toasted hazelnut.
