Glendalough 17 Years is an Irish whiskey from a craft distillery set up by a group of friends from Wicklow and Dublin, close to the valley of Glendalough. It spent 15 years in ex-bourbon casks, then a further two years in Japanese Mizunara casks. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
The bourbon casks bring citrus, honey and vanilla, while the Mizunara adds a viscous, creamy texture. The palate is sweet, spiced and very soft, yet complex.
