Glendalough 7 Year Mizunara is a triple-distilled Irish single malt from County Wicklow, bottled at 46% in a 750ml bottle. It is made from Irish malted barley and matured for seven years in ex-bourbon casks, then finished for a further eight to twelve months in Japanese Mizunara oak.
The nose is fruity and floral, with soft vanilla, biscuity malt and a little sandalwood. The palate is fresh and citrus-led, moving to pear, baked apple, fudge, honey, dark chocolate orange and cinnamon. The finish is very long, with toasted oak and baking spices, and fades to dry sandalwood.
