Glendalough – Distillery 7 Year Old Mizunara Finish Single Malt Irish Whiskey

This is a seven-year-old Irish single malt from Glendalough Distillery, finished in Mizunara casks. The distillery was set up by a group of friends from Wicklow and Dublin who wanted to revive the heritage of craft distilling in Ireland. They left their day jobs and built it in the mountains near their favourite spot, Glendalough. St Kevin, who appears on the bottle, is a nod to that leap of faith. In the 18th and 19th centuries Ireland had over 200 licensed distilleries, a number that fell to a handful until recently.
