Glendalough – Double Barrel Irish Whiskey (75cl, 42%)

Glendalough Double Barrel is an Irish whiskey distilled in the Wicklow Mountains and bottled at 42% ABV. It is matured twice: first in American oak bourbon barrels, then in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. The bourbon barrels bring vanilla, nutmeg and a hint of tropical fruit, while the sherry casks add dark chocolate and dried fruit. The nose is floral, with butterscotch and honey. On the palate, golden raisins meet peppery oak spice, and the finish is long with a gentle warmth.
