Glendalough Double Barrel is an Irish whiskey in a 750ml bottle at 42% ABV. It is matured in bourbon barrels and Oloroso casks.
The nose is slight but rich with dark fruit: cherry, raisin and fig, with Christmas pudding, floral lemongrass and a touch of nutmeg. The palate is sweet and creamy, with butterscotch, honey and peppercorn, then dried fruit returning as maraschino cherries and a pinch of brown sugar. The finish is lingering ginger spice with a faint hint of almond.
