Glendalough Mizunara Cask is a 7 year old Irish single malt whiskey matured in Mizunara oak. The Glendalough team travelled from their own wooded mountains in Wicklow to Hokkaido in northern Japan to find that oak. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
The nose is vibrant, fruity and floral. The palate is smooth, with dark chocolate orange, sandalwood and cinnamon. The finish is very long, with toasted oak and oriental spices, and the dark chocolate lingers longer still.
