This is a 7 year old Irish single malt from Glendalough, finished in Japanese Mizunara oak and sold in a 750ml bottle.
The finish lasted 4 months in Mizunara casks, 70% of them brand new. Mizunara is a Japanese oak that is difficult to cooper, and here it shapes the whole character of the whisky.
It is rich in incense, with sandalwood and exotic spices from start to finish, and a fruit character from the malt across the middle of the palate.
