Glendronach – 12 Year Old - Original is a single malt whisky from Glendronach (Highland). Aged 12 years, bottled at 43% ABV, 70cl. Glendronach, located near Forgue, is one of the biggest names in whisky. It was previously owned by the BenRiach Distillery Company and was founded by James Allardes in 1826. Previous owners include Teachers and Sons, who put in four new stills in their time of ownership. The distillery went through a tough period being mothballed in 1996 but reopened in 2002 with Allied Distillers at the helm. The distillery like Benriach still uses its own floor maltings and looks like it's here to stay since it's now protected as a category B listed building. Glendronach 12-Year-Old - Original was double cask matured in sherry wood and traditional oak barrels.
