GlenDronach 12 Years Old is a Highland single malt matured in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks for at least twelve years. It is bottled at 43%, non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
The distillery was established in 1826 and is known for floor-malted barley and sherry-rich expressions.
The nose is autumnal, with chocolate praline, gingerbread, sun-dried raisins and ripe orchard fruit. On the palate come caramelised bramble, orange and sultana, then clove, gingerbread, vanilla and milk chocolate. The finish is of medium length, with nut brittle, toffee and a gentle cocoa-spice glow.
