This is a 15 year old Glendronach single malt from the Highlands, matured in sherry casks. It is a 1990s bottling from before the distillery's takeover, at 40% ABV in a 1 litre bottle, and it comes in a weathered carton.
The nose opens with Oloroso sherry, leather and grape, with hints of floor wax and furniture polish. The palate has chocolate raisins and dried cranberries alongside leather and wood, and the finish brings red berries and wood, balanced but short.
