This GlenDronach was distilled on 4 April 1990 and bottled in 2020, after thirty years in a Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheon. It is a single cask release from Batch 18, bottled at a cask strength of 51.4% ABV without chill filtration, and 402 bottles were filled. The colour is tawny brown.
The nose offers dark chocolate, maraschino cherries, fine Italian leather and bramble rose. The palate brings bramble jam and cherry chocolate with yellow plum, spiced cocoa and a lasting mineral note. The finish is long, as rich fruit and chocolate slowly give way to subtle spice and mineral hints.
