GlenDronach – 31 Year Old Grandeur Batch 1 (70cl, 45.8%)

GlenDronach 31 Year Old Grandeur Batch 1 is a Highland single malt and the first release in the distillery's Grandeur series. It was matured entirely in Oloroso sherry casks and bottled in 2010 at 45.8% ABV. The run was 1,013 individually numbered bottles, each a 70cl size. Master Blender Rachel Barrie selected the casks from some of the oldest and most unusual sherry wood at the distillery, drawing on barrels, hogsheads, puncheons and butts. The style is full-bodied, with deep sherried richness, dried fruit, dark sweetness and refined oak from the long maturation.
